Howdy! My name is Sabrina & I'm the owner of this one-woman show: Strawberry Milk!

I'm an artist, entrepreneur and designer that operates this student-run business all on my own! My journey started way back in the beginning of the pandemic (summer of 2020). I had been scrolling on Tik Tok (as most of us did that summer), when I found a video of someone embroidering their sister's converse. That video really sparked my interest, and soon I would be waiting in the Michaels parking lot, waiting for my curbside order of embroidery thread and an embroidery hoop. 

When I posted my first project on Tik Tok, I had reached approximately 20,000 views, with comments flooding my comment section "where can I buy this?!". I wasn't too confident in my abilities yet, so I practiced different designs for my family and friends. 

I had been getting alot of requests, which is when I decided to launch Strawberry Milk! 

I began to embroider hundreds of orders by hand. Eventually this became a lot of labour for me, especially while balancing my business with school. So, I started to save up for an embroidery machine. By April of 2021 I achieved my goal and bought my machine (Tabitha is her name LOL)!

Ever since then, I have been able to pump out way more orders and achieve my Star Seller status on Etsy. However, after a year on Etsy, I was able to reflect on my experience with the platform. These last few months have been difficult for me as a seller, as I'm sure it is for other sellers too. Recently, Etsy as increased their rates where they began to take away 6.5% of my sales on top of transaction fees and marketing fees. 

This brings you up to date to present day, for Strawberry Milk. I'm excited about the launch of my own website and I'm ready for this new chapter for Strawberry Milk.
